Description
High-Build Flexible Block Filler & Core Concrete Waterproofer
Sherwin-Williams ConFlex® Flexible Concrete Waterproofer is a high-productivity architectural coating developed to maximize labor efficiency on rough concrete masonry units (CMU). Rather than requiring multi-step plaster skimming procedures, it applies thick to bridge physical surface transitions, close deep block craters, and cure into a dense, water-tight protective shield that prevents moisture tracking completely.
Best Used For:
• Interior/exterior unpainted or porous concrete blocks (CMU) and aggregate walls
• Mechanical rooms, industrial warehouses, parking garages, and utility vaults
• Concrete retaining walls and above-grade masonry assemblies facing high water risk
• Foundation elements, elevator pits, and electrical rooms before topcoating
Key Benefits & Features:
• Pore-Sealing Viscosity: Visibly thick formulation anchors deeply into open block craters, creating a flat, non-porous visual field that limits dust tracking and saves material on your topcoat paint layers.
• Crack Bridging Performance: Retains slight flexible elasticity after curing, expanding and contracting safely alongside standard masonry setting lines to prevent hair cracks from telegraphing up.
• Alkali & Carbonation Defense: Formulated to withstand the harsh, high-alkali environment of fresh concrete. It slows down carbonation degradation, keeping internal steel reinforcement rebar safe from moisture rust.
• Professional Application: Formulated to spray smoothly through commercial airless sprayers or apply with heavy block-rollers, back-rolling easily into porous voids without pulling or dragging.
Technical Specifications:
• Resin Base Type: Flexible Acrylic Co-Polymer
• Finish Sheen: Smooth Matte Flat
• Coverage Performance: 50 to 100 sq. ft. per gallon depending on block porosity and nap selection
• Dry to Touch: 2 hours | Time Before Recoating: 4 hours
• Tool Cleanup: Clean tools immediately with warm water and mild soap while the material is wet
• operational Window: Apply only when air, surface, and material temperatures are above 50°F (10°C)
