Description
Flexible Exterior Facade Elastomeric Coating & Weather Armor
Sherwin-Williams ConFlex® SherLastic® Elastomeric Coating bridges the gap between high-end architectural aesthetics and heavy-duty structural masonry protection. Exterior stucco, brick, and concrete naturally develop fine settling and shrinkage fractures that allow moisture to enter, leading to subsurface deterioration and mold. SherLastic® constructs an elastic, non-porous protective envelope that moves naturally alongside masonry expansion shifts, keeping walls bone-dry and free from dark fungal tracking.
Best Used For:
• Large-scale commercial office complexes, hospitality halls, and apartment blocks
• Exterior residential stucco facades, concrete masonry units (CMU), and boundary walls
• Managed properties requiring a cost-effective, long-lasting weatherproofing shield
• Above-grade exterior tilt-up concrete panels, poured concrete, and brickwork facades
Key Benefits & Features:
• Dynamic Crack Bridging: Cures to a highly flexible rubber-like film that expands and contracts naturally alongside seasonal temperature spikes to prevent crack telegraphing.
• Rain & Weather Shielding: Formulated to ensure extreme color stability, UV block, and water repellency under punishing outdoor weather conditions.
• Efflorescence & Alkali Defense: Highly resistant to alkali and salt bleed-through, preventing white powdery stains from ruining your exterior color profile. Fights alkali burnout on surfaces up to pH 12.
• Exceptional High-Build Hide: Visibly thicker formula offers extreme coverage over rough masonry textures, masking minor defects to leave a canvas-smooth visual plane.
Technical Specifications:
• Resin Base Type: Elastomeric Acrylic Latex
• Coverage Performance: 80 to 120 sq. ft. per gallon depending on substrate porosity and film thickness
• Project Dry Time: 4 hours to touch (at 77°F and 50% RH) | Time Before Recoating: 24 hours
• Application Window: Surface and air temperatures must remain above 50°F (10°C) during application
• Tool Cleanup: Clean tools immediately with warm water and mild soap while the material is wet
