Description
Industrial High-Performance Immersion Lining for Wastewater & Asset Protection
Sherwin-Williams DURA-PLATE® 6000 represents the pinnacle of heavy civil asset preservation and chemical immersion engineering. Developed specifically to handle the brutal, highly corrosive conditions found inside municipal sewer systems and industrial chemical storage facilities, its advanced cross-linking matrix sets up an unyielding barrier shield. It stops biogenic sulfuric acid breakdown, isolates concrete porosity, and prevents oxidation tracking across structural steel panels permanently.
Best Used For:
• Municipal wastewater treatment units, sewer manholes, wet wells, and digesters
• Internal linings of chemical storage tanks, petroleum reservoirs, and processing vats
• Secondary containment basins, raw concrete drainage channels, and industrial sumps
• High-exposure marine pipelines, industrial infrastructure, and offshore structures
Key Benefits & Features:
• Elite Biogenic Corrosion Shield: Chemically engineered to withstand continuous exposure to hydrogen sulfide (H2S) gas and heavy concentrations of sulfuric acids without blistering or melting down.
• Advanced Physical Flexibility: Combines high structural tensile strength with superior elasticity, allowing the cured film to stretch and move safely alongside settling masonry and steel expansions to prevent cracking.
• Zero-Solvent Safety Profile: 100% solids composition features minimal odor levels and no volatile emissions, making it highly preferred and safe for application inside confined tank footprints or underground utility vaults.
• Exceptional High-Build Hold: Heavy thixotropic body permits thick, hang-stable applications on vertical surfaces and overhead concrete ceilings in fewer passes, saving massive labor hours.
Technical Specifications & Handling:
• Coating Chemistry: High-Performance Industrial Polyurethane / Epoxy Lining
• Component Profile: Part A Base Resin (Product Code: B62W710 | 6511-04390)
• Container Volume: 5 U.S. Gallons / 18.9 Liters (Heavy industrial steel pail)
• Mixing Protocol: Two-component system. Part A must be mixed thoroughly using a mechanical power mixer drill paddle before combining with its pre-measured Part B Activator. Do not mix partial kits.
• Tool Cleanup: Clean tools immediately using specialized high-strength industrial epoxy thinners, xylene, or MEK before the chemical cross-linking matrix cures rock-hard.
